Jak Jakicevich is the eldest of the Jakicevich brothers, the third generation of the Jakicevich family at the helm of Glengarry Wines. His first foray into the industry was working in the family vineyards at Glengarry Rd in Oratia, West Auckland through to the late 1970's when the vineyards were sold. Jak then joined the rest of the family in the retail shops in Ponsonby.

These days Jak heads up the Glengarry management team with his extensive experience in the wine industry, retailing, logistics as well as systems and new technology. He is also very much the guiding force of Glengarry's people policy, because people are a key asset to Glengarry.

A pragmatic styled operator with his feet firmly on the ground, Jak provides a stable influence to the rest of the management team. Like his father he has many children, 7 in total, and lives with his wife Maria and newborn twins in Westmere Auckland. Jak can be found most days leading the team at the Victoria Park Glengarry Store and is actively involved in Wine Clubs, Tastings and his personal passion Whisky Tastings. On top of this he manages to fit in a bit of classic motorcycle riding, having competed in 3 Burt Munro Challenge beach races on his trusty old 1949 BSA.
